DrugWarVigil
Federal parole was abolished by Congress in the Sentencing Reform Act of 1984. Early 2002, November Coalition members spearheaded an effort to raise public interest, and support for a program of early release aimed at federal prisoners.

Since that time, growing numbers of people, organizations, legal experts, and a few members of Congress have advocated proposals that would restore a system of parole. At the present time, there is no bill to revive Parole in the current Congress.

Educating the public and gathering signatures of support for the “Petition for Relief from Drug War Injustice,” continues today. Please join us.

We will be updating this portion of our website and will repost new information early January 2009.
